Pull the HU, get serial number off label, ha and proof of ownership of car go to service dept. and ask for code, it should be free, the $100 would be for them to R&R the HU.

If the Acura dealer you go to will not get you the code for free, find another dealer and send off a letter of complaint to Acura/Honda main office.

It takes the counter guy at the service counter less then 30 sec. to pull the code from their computers, so there should be no charge. 94

You can also try a Honda dealership if you don't have an Acura one in town (ours it cable to do it, and it's a straight Honda since they were going to look into doing Acura, but Acura would require a completely different building/showroom which they don't have the a lot big enough to do)

You can cheat and look up your car on MetraOnline.com

Then, click a dash kit for your car, and on that page click the link for "Product Instructions" or whatever the link is

There is no Metra kit for the 04 TSX... http://metraonline.com/vfg so the above ^^^ will not work.

If you are going to work on your car yourself, you should spend the $20 for a Haynes manual, it will pay for itself in no time.

Radio bezels/trim and dash/console trim can be very tricky, but if done in the correct order, they will be relatively simple.

I have not done an 04 TSX so I can't even give you an idea of where to start, all I will say is don't start pulling/prying things untill you know what needs to be done and in what order. 94

If you call the general honda 800 number, there should be an option get codes for radio. This worked for me in my 2002 accord. I can't remember what they asked for, but they did give it to me over the phone. Hope this helps!

Delete one of your double posts, the answer to your post is the same, go to the dealer, no one here will give you the code, if someone does they deserve a swift kick in the ***.

There is a reason for the code, it is a security measure, if all you have to do is go onto the internet to get it, it would not be much of a deterent to a crook. 94
