Re: B16 block with ls head up and running in crx

I've seen a couple of these thrown together out of spare parts haha. The only one we ever put on the dyno was about 129whp. The cars ECU ran crome, but I'm guessing that tune was nothing but a...

Re: EM1: JDM b18c swap everything done right but one CEL

It's either your wiring, crank sensors in the dizzy, or the ecu. Check them in that order.

Ignore this ^^. For that to work you need to switch to an OBD1 ecu, get a conversion harness, and...

Re: B20 non-vtec FAQ Guide including P8R head information

Everything I've ever seen, in Japanese or not, was 9.6 (P75 w/PHK), 9.2 (P8R w/P3F -- will measure the HG when I pull one apart that I have in the garage), 8.8 (P3F w/P75).

We just need the cc of...

Re: lsd in b17 tranny?

MFactory should have one for you.

http://www.teammfactory.com/

I run one in my B16A Y21 transmission. No complaints, end to end play was perfect when I installed it. No need to play with...

Re: F20b Build NA

x2...?

The last two I received from them were pretty clean (one had definitely been steam cleaned well). Rusty header, cut harnesses & hoses and sometimes broken accessories are usually par for...

Obviously I say get it as cheap as you can, but...

Re: 3.5" Intake??

Factory IAT these days is generally not even in the manifold like Honda had it on the OBD1 motors (Hint: it heat soaked really badly there). It would be okay with a composite manifold that won't...

Re: Odd countershaft issue

I don't have the ratios in front of me but I would hazard a guess that even though the tooth count is the same, the diameter would be different to result in a different gear ratio (ls vs gsr 2nd). I...

Re: arp rod bolts and machining???

You should have it checked (and probably resized) but you will not have to use oversize bearings unless your clearances on the rod journals of the crank require it.

(They should be able to make...

Re: Question about using Plastigage

Exactly. Put it together as you're going to final assemble it with the proper torque sequence then there is no question of whether or not things were exactly the same when you clearanced it.

Re: b20v/b16a head PCV system setup

Honda sells fittings that fit in those 14mm allen head plugs in the block. They goto the oil passages that goto the head.

Venting from there or the back of the block will do the same thing. Then...

Re: Del Sol Custom Sub Box- 10s and 12s

Then you have less usable trunk space and a firewall between you and the sub that we don't....lol

My amps are under the floor in the trunk and subs behind the seats replacing the useless storage...

Re: Honda civic rust protection

Sucks about the spots. I've heard of people using color matched liner on the bottom of the rockers as mentioned above. Is it actually up on the rockers or just on the bottom where the layers of metal...

Re: spedo doesnt work! replaced the sensor helpp!

x2 for the plug on the harness. My contacts rotted out and as a result the speedo used to bounce when it was wet out until I replaced the contacts.

Re: del sol bottom fogs.

Most amber bulbs probably aren't going to do what you want. Especially cheaper ones (rarely colored glass-- just painted).
You buy an HID conversion kit in the proper bulb size for your fog lights...

Reset the ECU and set the ignition timing to the red mark. How old are the cap and rotor?

Re: Turbo Em2 T25 Dyno Tune *Pics with chart*

I keep checking back on his thread because your car is so similar to my sisters (and she keeps bugging me for a turbo haha).

I too would probably throw a better cam in it and retune. That should...

Re: The end all trans fluid thread.

Yes, it CAN cause problems with very high horsepower setups (or people that don't let their equipment cool down between runs) but insisting that that the Honda MTF is unacceptable in all cases is...

re: Are these specifications for an F18B correct? Please help verify

There is no way that is correct.

As far as I know the 1.8L F18B was a SOHC accord engine. The 140ps may be right, but the torque sure isnt. The bore and stroke could be, but i'd take that with a...

Re: Trunk release on Del Sol

No its not supposed to pop all the way up but you need to clean your trunk latch.

You will still obviously have to lift the trunk, but you should be able to pull the handle inside or turn the key...

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

Looks like the tails are OEMs vinyl wrapped.

Love the setup. Will love it even more in the teg. :) Then again I used to have a nearly identical Civic (minus beast engine) up until a few years ago....

Re: do i need a knock sensor for my lsv

The P28 cannot control a knock sensor anyways so you will HAVE to disable it in your tuning software.

Use Honda MTF or GM/Penzoil Synchromesh and /thread.
If you have problems after a fresh fluid change you have something wrong with the damn transmission.

Re: How lean on low compression NA?

If you want to see the most benefit you need to find a tuner to help you read your plugs to work on ignition timing, or go spend some time on a dyno to dial in it perfectly, after you get your air...

Re: SpeedFactory 2010 Sleeved/Forged D16 build

Better fuel, lower your IAT temps if they're high, and pull some ignition timing.
Detonation will lift it like nothing else.

I assume head and block were checked each time? Just throwing in a new...
