I have a DIY intake on my D16Z6. I took a piece of turbo charge piping and put it on. It runs the filter through the little hole behind the headlight so it places the filter outside the engine bay.

If you're looking to go turbo there is no point in getting intake/headers because they will have to come off when you go to put on the turbo.
