No fuel, check to see if the fuel pump is priming. Easiest way is to take gas cap off and listen for the hummmmmm while someone else turns the key. Secondly I would check the ecu. Open it up and look...

So no obd2 ecus can be used? I have access to a p72 obd2 ecu. The main thing I wanna know I guess is what can be used to move the car like now without tuning. My mechanic was recently incarcerated...

Thanks a lot Minilogoguy! Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I went ahead and replaced the sensor, timing belt, balance shaft belt, etc only to find that it still wasn't cranking! Checked...

Crank Position sensor

Anyone have a diagram for testing a crank sensor for a 1996 Si? Need to test it to make sure it's bad. The only helms manual I have is for '93 which has that sensor in the distributor.
