Re: 97 Civix Coupe HX: Ways to improve your MPG?

Hmm, never heard that. I'm no expert either, but I've never had a problem running mine at 40-44 psi. Not to say that nothing could happen, but the car sure does coast a lot further than it does at...

Re: 97 Civix Coupe HX: Ways to improve your MPG?

A few psi below the max sidewall pressure will yield good mileage, but the ride will be more harsh. Just experiment and find the pressure you like. I run 44 psi in my tires (max sidewall is 51). 30...

Re: 97 Civix Coupe HX: Ways to improve your MPG?

Tune up, increase tire pressures, and driving technique. I can add 10 mpg just from driving technique alone in my hatch. Some of the methods are a little extreme, but not too bad. Check out...

Re: New clutch master cylinder; clutch stays on floor

Bench bleeding is when you pump fluid through the MC before you install it in the car to get all the air bubbles out of the chambers. Since you didn't do that, you are gonna have to bleed the shit...

Re: New clutch master cylinder; clutch stays on floor

Did you bench bleed it before putting it in? Have you checked out your slave cylinder? If you didn't bench bleed it, then you most likely still have air in the system and will need to continue...

Re: OEM upper ball joint

I'm pretty sure replacing the entire arm is the way to replace the UBJ. It's not like it's that expensive and it's very easy. Plus if you do find just the balljoint itself, good luck. Replacing them...

Re: OEM upper ball joint

Well that's good advice.

I replaced both of mine about a year and a half ago with Autozone parts (don't remember the actual brand, but they were the mid-priced option) and haven't had...

Re: Suspension Question

KYB AGX's are OK shocks, but Koni sports are much better. I got about 60k miles out of my AGX's before they started giving me problems, leaking, etc. I had them paired with Ground Controls though and...

Re: 96 civic hatch rear brake assembly conversion, drums to disc quest???

I dunno, my brakes came off a 97 SE Integra (I believe). The e-brake cables that were on there were the same as my DX ones and fit up through the floor the same way. Worst case senario is you have to...

Re: 96 civic hatch rear brake assembly conversion, drums to disc quest???

I did the same swap on my hatch last year. You don't need a new prop valve, as the one you have is the same as the Si one. I just removed all the ABS stuff on my Integra trailing arms, replaced the...
