I have one that I had sold on ebay, but the buyer was a deadbeat. The tag is missing, but I pulled personally from a wrecked GSR. I checked the gearing myself(You can count the diff rotations vs...

Re: So I picked up my first STD !! (reydio)

Yeah, it can be surprisingly loud..

My #2 STD blew out its muffler, so I drove it for a day with all the stock piping + cat in place, just no muffler. Even then, when you get on the throttle...

Re: b18a head swap to a b18b?? (StorminMatt)

Yep, probably wouldn't feel any difference. 92-93 B18As make 140, 94 B18Bs make 142.

Go check your valve adjustment.

Re: (michaelOlson)

2nd the YS1 from a USDM 92-93 GS-R.

Then spend a couple bucks and put a little better set of cams in it, will wake up the top end nicely, and allow you to better utilize the closer gearing.

Re: (Loserkidwac)

I'll create a thread and post when I run it, since it always annoys me that no one posts clear, concise threads, just the usual "wat will I run y0?"

Should have the motor in the chassis this...

Re: (La EF-8)

As with anything, you'll always find examples of a strong or weak engine.

In general, stock with the normal I/H/E bolt ons, the Ls will be a faster setup. There is a much higher percentage of...

Just placed an order. Hopefully it comes out correct, there isn't anywhere to state the year and size for the 2.25/2.5" weld up kit.

I wrote in the comments the size and year.

Thanks in...

Re: brake master cylinder replacement procedure? (civicandy)

Bench bleeding just helps get the air out fo the MC itself, which can take a while.

Frankly, its not the end of the world if you don't have a 'kit'... Been replacing MCs for about 15 years, if...

Re: popping and jerking steering wheel ever since swap (si90rex)

http://www.raxles.com/hybrids.aspx

They make axles specifically for the swap, which I believe are shorter than the integra axles..

You might have a tweaked chassis.

Re: (SloS13)

But leaning doesn't necessarily mean better mileage.

A good intake, good exhaust, smooth driving, and a proper tune up with a good O2 sensor are your best bet.

Higher compression would help,...

Re: (TurboEM1)

I would also recommend the compression check 1st, to make sure you have a decent engine.

Unless you REALLY had bad plugs or wires, swapping them isn't going to make a noticable different.

Not really...

Closed loop operation, youa re already tuned for decent mileage. open loop, you are on the gas hard anyway, so you aren't really going to be saving there.

Trying to lean it out to...

Re: popping and jerking steering wheel ever since swap (haggar)

BTW, poorly built engine mounts also might be placing the engine in a crappy spot, also causing axle binding.

One thing that makes it a bit easier to diagnose problems over the internet, is why you post with clear, properly spelled and punctuated English. Your posts are rather difficult to read.

Re: Ls or B16A (B16CRXT)

Consider this, when you listen to people saying: And then VTEC kicks in and zOOOM..

Remember, torque is what accelerates the car. And in this case, talking about flywheel torque is acceptable.

I think you'd know how your car feels the best. If it feels undergeared, then make a change.

It might be more practical just to swap in a lower final drive, most of the gear spacing itself isn't...

Re: b16 with b17 internals is this possible??? (dominicanito49)

If you are going to take the time to do it, then swap out the B17 pistons for something higher compression. Stock they are only about 9.6:1 which is a major reason for a B17 not making any additional...
