that might be true for your area, but if you race with NASA it is a requirement that the car can be lifted by the tow point..

Not many racing sanctioning bodys have a flat bed on hand. Or if you broke wheel studs you can't strap it to the wheels. I guess it depends on who you drive/race with but the CCR's I have read say...

You wont be able to get the the Del Sol as light as civic. IMO, the civic will make a better overall track car and will give you more options.

After you build your tow hook you might want to test it. It need to be able to support the car being lifted from that point (i.e. suspension failure). I have seen several cars were they can be flat...

I ran a Del Sol with a H22 swap in H1 a few years ago, and had no problem getting the car to rotate. (the pick of the green del sol with 4 wheels off the ground)

The car owner ran the car in H1...

I think your going to find everyone here has a different opinion and different car setups. I run my car without any front bar and LOVE it with the way my car is setup.
