Spoon Sports will compete in the 25Hrs. of Thunderhill in NorCal.
Once again Spoon will challenge the 25Hrs. of Thunderhill at Willows, CA. on December 5-6. They will compete the FD2 Civic Type R once again. This will be an all Japanese team. Drivers are Tatsuru Ichishima(Spoon President) Sam Mitani from Road and Track, Naoki Hattori (Best Motoring Video) and Sony Playstation President Kazunori Yamauchi. Everyone is invited to watch the team race.
Meet the Spoon engineers as they will arrive in South San Francisco on Nov. 29 until departure for race on Dec. 4th. You can also watch them prepare the race car as the engine bay is still empy and alot of freshening is needed. Any questions you have for Spoon now is the time to ask them personally. Ichishima will arrive in SSF on Dec. 2nd.

Now there will also be a U.S. team competing with the CL7 Euro R Accord (TSX). Gaby dela Merced (race car driver and TV personality from the Philippines) will complete her 2009 WERC championship for the 6hrs race and continue on for the 25Hrs. (she has a great chance of winning the championship) She is the first female to compete in a Spoon Sports race car and she will race side by side with the President himself. Other drivers are Ken Kurtz, Tom Lepper, Jeff Lepper and possibly one more (he's 20 yrs. old)

Fresh off the boat are the new Spoon Sports wheels. Check 'em out and give your comments. These will be used at the 25Hrs. race. I will post up new pics when mounted on the cars.

I'll be there crewing for one of the 6 hour teams, and one of the 25 hour teams. Looks like one of their cars is in the E1 class that we're running the 25 hour in.
