Most likely you don't have a bi xenon kit which has a switch to flip down the shield to light up the bottom part of the headlights for highs.
You probly have alot of glare now and blinding on coming traffic cause your bulb is lighting up the whole housing.
You should look into retro fitting OEM HID projectors.

if bi-xenon, you should have two diodes for each headlight socket. switch them around and you're set . this is simple otherwise if you don't have these diodes to turn the control on the headlight from positive to negative, you're gonna have to somehow find a wire diagram and do it manually via ground, negative, and positive wires of the stock socket....splicing and such..search it's on here and covered before.
if not bi-xenon i can't help you.

Re: (DJNauTicz)
you have an aftermarket headlight...OEM EG6 is dual filament...so it is working as it is supposed to...turn off low and turn on hi and vice versa because it is H4 positive switched...
i hope you understand what I mean...research if you have to...if will be another few pages to explain what that is

you can get wiring harnesses (you should anyway with HID's) to route power from your battery to your headlights. if you get the right harness, it'll keep your low beams on even when your high beams are on. you want this for HID because frequently turning on/off your HIDs is bad... not that it really matters since PnP HID kits are POS's, esp ones with 8000K capsules!
do yourself a favor and do a HID retrofit!

H4 is not supposed to turn on low and hi at the same time in stock form....that means your wiring is not correct...
I am located 5 min from GWB...if you are close I can help you out....

I'm with devani, I don't understand how you were able to turn on both low and high beam at the same time with your aftermarket projectors, unless some custom re-wiring was done.
And if this custom re-wiring was done, you should still be able to have both the low beam HID kit on and the high beams on at the same time. So I don't understand why it's not working now.
But since you have aftermarket projectors, an HID projector retrofit should be fairly straight-forward with small projectors. I've seen write-ups of people who have done it.
The only catch is you can't use those bulbs from the HID kit with OEM HID projectors. You would need OEM D2S bulbs, and either an aftermarket-to-OEM D2 adapter harness on the ballast, or new ballasts with D2 plugs on it already.

Re: (PatrickGSR94)
I was able to when I had OEM housings and eBay projectors. IN order to have Hi and Lo beam on at the same time, you had to hold down the lever. So instead of releasing it after clicking to get high beam, you just hold it down and it'll keep both lights on.

yeah... if you do THAT, then of course you're sending power to both high and low beams...
FYI: i did a PnP --> retrofit (check my sig for write-up)
halogen projectors are garbage and give MAD hot spots (uneven light distribution).
also, those made in china 8000K capsules you got aren't gonna give you any good lumens for seeing the road. OEM 4300K capsules FTW!
