HID question or thoughts
Ok im a past honda owner and i think this is the best forum so im asking here...this relates to my 02 ZX3 focus, however it can relate to any car with a h4 hologen headlight. I have an HID conversion kit on my car right now that has a good amount of beam scatter which is tipical. I want to correct this so im thinking about switching to D2R bulbs which are HID bulbs for reflection based headlights. If i switch to h4 rebased D2R bulbs do you think this will help, and provide a better beam focus? anyone ever do this?
The band on the D2R capsules really won't do a whole lot to reduce the scatter or glare. The issue is mainly with the halogen reflector's inability to properly control the amount of light generated by the HID capsules. If you want to improve the lighting drastically, send the headlamps out to someplace like http://www.customlightz.com and have them install actual OEM HID optics for you.
