Default ls vtec rod bolts

i picked up arp rod bolts for my lsvtec and im wondering if any one has put them in by... First taking the oil pan and pic up and windage tray off and took one bolt out and put in the arp and torqued it down then took off the other bolt and torqued it down ect for all the rods


im wodering if any one has done it this way so you didn't have to buy new bearings im tight on money otherwise i would have bought rods and bearings so do say buy rods and bearings.

sorry man, but you have to take the rods out and send them to a machine shop so they can re-size the rod ends to accomodate the new ARP's.. you can't just install the ARP's and torque them down, you need a rod bolt streach gauge... i hope that helps.... as for rod bearings, replace them while the rods are out... peace
