ARP rod bolts?
Im going to install them in the b20z Im going to buy. The motor "has less then 18K" on it according to http://www.hondamotorsonline.com. I know that I have to take the rods and pistons out and take them to a machine shop to have the old bolts taken out, and the rod modifed to fit the ARP bolts. I REALLY do not want ot have to replace the rod bearing or any other bearing for that matter, so would it be okay just to re-instal the rods with the original bearings?

if youre taking it apart, planning on revving it( to get the full usefulness of VTEC) and modifying the rods and new rod bolts, replace ALL of your bearings, dont go cheap now or youll spend a lot more $$ later

you don't have to take the rods to a machine shop just to install the rod bolts. Also the bolts will be a direct install with no modifications to make work. Just order for the b20 rods.

At least plastiguage the original rod bearings to make sure they are within spec.....but IMO I'd still replace the bearings while I was in there.
And I would take out the piston/rod assemblies when installing the ARP bolts. At least this way you can positivly see that the ARP bolts are seated correctly in the B20 rods. I have heard that the sholders don't always seat completely and may require some machine work. But then again I usually replace the original rods with Eagles or Crowers anyways. Good luck
