98 cr-v w/ b20b high compression engine
Hi, kinda new to the forum thing but i bought my dad-in-law's 98 cr-v because i needed a car at the time but his stock engine blew out so he put the b20b high compression engine in it. As of right now the car is only shifting at 3500 rpm, has a horrible exhaust leak, has no power steering and is burning oil. I dont know too much about the engine, or any engine if that im just trying to make it not such a horrible and maybe one day build the engine. Thanks for any help i get

Well the exhaust leak should be taken care of and help with the sound of the car. Start there and if your interested in fixing it yourself or the plan Google is your friend describe your issue and see what pops up. Everyone is helpful here but a lot of question that are repeats get annoying and **** ppl off not saying that's what your doing because your problem is unique but Google will help.
If you just wanna fix ASAP or just to know your problems and you fix as you go just visit a autozone or midas and have them read your codes and start checking stuff off your list.

locate exhaust leak 1st.
the high compression engine doesn't affect your powersteering in anyway, separate system.
Burning oil issue should be looked at.
