Problem:Code 14 IACV
Heres the deal.
Car is a 99 civic EX with an H22a from 94.
Been idling rough. No check engine lights. Well the other night it hit me, Theres no check engine light coming on whenever i turn the key on. So I pulled the cluster, checked and replaced the light. Like i thought, throwing a check engine light. I checked it and it read Code 14 (IACV / ECM). I took off the IACV, cleaned it and still threw that code, and still idled like ****. So i thought the IACV was just bad.
Today i pulled the plug off the IACV, checked for the amperage. Read 12 volts. Perfect. So i just continued thinking it was just a bad IACV. Well tonight my friend lent me a known working one and we put it on the car, took out the ECU fuse for atleast 10 minutes while we changed IACV. Put the ECU fuse back in, started up, STILL throwing a code 14 for IACV. So we took to wires, on the old IACV to see if it would click and open. We hooked it directly up to the battery and it opened, so it showed us that its a working one.
Well. Not having any clue what else it could be, we took the throttle body off and replaced with another known working one. Still idled like straight ***. So we put the old one back on and adjusted the idle screw and finally got the idle to around 700-750. Perfect. BUT its STILL throwing the code. Also sprayed carb cleaner all over the intake manifold to see if there were any vacuum leaks, none.
So i've replaced the ECU, replaced the IACV with a known working one, hard reset the ECU, and replaced throttle body and TPS sensors and im just stumped. I have NO idea what it is at this point. Anyone have any idea?
