obd2b distributor question

Default obd2b distributor question

trying to get a distributor for my swap and they have given me the wrong one twice. will someone with a 99-00 civic si see if there distributor says td-81u please? i think this is the one i need right?

the only thing you need to worry about is the wiring configuration and the plug shape. Make sure that all of the wires match up (color wise) to your engine harness. The distributors are essentially the same for OBD2 a and b. The wiring configuration is the difference.

alright makes sense then. they gave me an obd2a one and it was a td-81u so i was confused. so it will be the same just need the different plug. ty man.

you can actually adapt it to work......

do a search, there are quite a few threads about adapting them or re-pinning tham to connect to obd2a-b

well if your are using your stock harness, the plug on an Si dizzy is bigger than any other dizzy plug for 99-00 civic they change for those years, youll either have to get the big plug and make it work or get an si wiring harness... theres a thread on this i remeber reading it when i was doing my friends swap on his 99 hatch
