If you are familiar with the two hole inside the throttle body help me out
hey guys whats goin on.
My LS is idling really high. After letting it warm up I put my finger over the hole that leads to the IACV. It had great vacuum on it so therefore the idle dropped down to what seemed like normal. Does this mean that something is wrong with my IAC valve?

2 things you can do really quickly is 1 take the iacv off and clean it make sure theres no gunk or anything in there and (this probably isnt contributing to your idle problem but if its too dirty it might stick open) and 2 if your car has a fitv (fast idle thermel valve) then take it off and open it up and make sure its screwed in all the way (you can find the info for these two things in search in the archives). if both those don't fix it try a new iacv short of that you must have a vacuum leak after the throtle body.

Start spraying carb cleaner all around the intake joint's tb/intake/ intake/head etc. If the idle ever climbs spray around the area that caused the rpm spike, thats how you check for a vacuum leak.
