idle problem
My friends h22a1 idles at 1200rpm warm or cold dont matter but when when u cover the top hole in the throttle body the idle drops back down to normal. What controls this top hole in the throttle body. Please help thanks
The top hole on the throttle body with a short tube sticking out right? If so, then that goes straight to the charcoal canister. You can plug that hole up and throw out the charcoal canister or just run a vacuum line from it and connect it to the charcaol canister.
I've got a fitv too I don't need and it works. I thought it was causing my car to stall on startup when indeed I found out it was my dizzy. I kept the new one and the old one sits here! I had it on ebay for 20 bucks shipped nobody bought it lol!

Sounds like either the Fast idle or the IAC. The fast idle valve backs itself off some threads in there and the wax pintle doesn't get a chance to close itself off. Buy whatsisnames ^ Fast Idle valve and See if it works. It will probably help. Then plug in your IAC. If the idle goes up. Get another IAC. Problem(S) solved. meaning this could be more than one thing.
