Lost my keys, where can I get one made?
I lost the key to my car a long time ago, now im getting it out and I need to know where I can get one made, i believe its illegal for home depot to do it or something like that? Will the honda dealer get one made for me? I really want the key to look like the OEM one, any help? TIA

That's just cutting and copying a key. They have to look up the vin and program a machine to cut the key to the vin. At least down here in expensive So Cal, it's $40

I've had my key looked up through the VIN plenty of times before (went through a phase of locking them in the car).
Cost me $5 at Honda each time. That's on a '98 EX coupe too.
Bolded this because I want you to know that it should not cost $40 just because they look it up in the computer. This is in fact the first time I've ever heard of anyone charging or paying so much for a key as old as these cars. cars with chips int he key cost more, but our cars don't have chips.
