Icon2 EG hatch/JDM D15B/chipped P28 - Random power loss fixed by swapping in stock p06 ECU

i was driving down the road the other night in my eg hatch with a jdm d15b vtec with chipped p28 (p08 basemap) and it began to lose power completely. i pulled off and revved it a few times with no issue however when i went to take off it would accelerate to 1500 and drop power (almost like a hiccup of fuel cutoff) then accelerate back up to 1500 then repeat again.
luckily i pulled over checked everything and everything was normal, fuses, plugs, etc. i swapped back the ecu's and put my stock p06 and it ran fine just rich to get back home.

i tried it today again. it ran fine for about 10-15 mins and then all of a sudden it did it again! i swapped back the p28 to the stock p06 and its running fine.

does anyone have any ideas? please help.

i used a stock p28. why are you runnin a p08 basemap(no need)??? send your p06 out for a v-tec resistor or use a p28 thats not molested

im running the p08 basemap because thats what the motor was originally supposed to run. a p2 will run it however i know it will run richer then the p08.

I have a 93 hatch, JDM D15B Vtec & 5 sp that i bought from Hmotorsonline, I have I/H/E/ecu. I purchased ECU from ebay, chipped p28 running a p72 basemap, vtec @ 4348 and redline @ 8000. i get 36-42 mpg all daylong at 65-70mph on my 40 mile commute to work. The guy that did my swap said he test drove it when it was done and it pulls almost as hard as his B16 he put in his 92 hatch. Other then the mods above its a stock car with 161000 on body and about 40000 on motor and tranny (according to Hmotors).

ricky00...that is why i was telling him what i had so maybe he can try and program his chip the same and see if it worked for him. I was trying to offer a possible solution...do you know of any others?

my d15b runs a bit rich, but i don't care. i still drive across pittsburgh and back everyday.it can beat b18a1 equiped 3-doors by a fender and a friend. running alittle rich is ok, just wash your rear bumper more often.
