Did a compression test on my EK GSR, not sure about results?
This is a bone stock gsr swap into 99 ek, only cell is for no cat. So I pulled the 15a fuse from under the hood and pulled all spark plugs (they look fine not running lean or rich) then hooked up comp tool floored gas pedal and wrote down numbers.
cyl 1: 170
cyl 2: 165
cyl 3: 165
cyl 4: 160
Now Im happy that the numbers are close but they seem low. The motor still runs great does burn coolant which im allready going to replace the head gasket and new arp studs. My question is could the ambient temperature be causing these low numbers, im also having my valves adjusted soon i dont know if that could figure in. I have searched and searched but most people dont have similar numbers, their numbers are more like 200,195,130,195. I want to boost in the near future but not if the motor cant handle it. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Those look more like LS numbers. GSR's typically are around 190-200.
What the 2 guys ahead of me said is also VERY important aspects as well.

Engine was at operating temperature. Outside temperature is like 50 degrees so I wasnt sure if that would make a difference. Havent tried the oil I can try that in the morning and post results.
