Default compression test on new motor, take a look

so i just put pistons and rods in my gsr motor...i was out doing some tuning in teh middle of nowhere, and i was making some short pulls when the wideband started acting funny (getting very lean over 6k under boost) so i made one last pull and shut it off when it got lean...

pulled the plugs, 2,3,4 looked PERFECT. 1 had some oil on the threads, and was making its way down the ground strap...none on the electrode.

sooo long story short, just to be safe i go home do a compression test (i had just replaced the o rings on the valve cover during the build so i put honda-bond on them too) the dry compression test looked good...
cyl#1 - 175
cyl#2 - 172
cyl#3 - 168
cyl#4 - 165

but the wet numbers have me confused )poured a 3/4 cap full of oil into each cylinder)
cyl#1 - 193
cyl#2 - 210
cyl#3 - 195
cyl#4 - 200

do these numbers look weird to anyone else???

btw this motor has around 100 miles on it if that sways your input on the compression numbers..

what gave you the idea to do a wet compression check when the dry check looked ok to begin with. typically save the wet for known bad cylinder

i know, but i just did both for the hell of it.

so in other words i shouldnt be concerned with the wet numbers?

Well from what I have read the actual numbers don't mean much its the variation in the numbers is what matters. Although if you have REAL low numbers I would be concerned no matter what the variation but..I would say your fine.

Compression looks ok, sounds like the fuel pump died on you.

what compression(static) is the motor? 9:1? drive around a little more, and take the readings again. id bet they go up more. mine were around 180 at like 400 miles and by around 1000 miles they are like 195 once some carbon built up. they are consistant though, and that is good

i hope not, its a brand new one from xenocron. im going to replace this pos b&m fpr first before i blame it on the fuel pump.

they are wiseco's 8.8:1 on a b18c1 i believe.

i just got worried about having oil on the plug, and thought i was having a ring or valve seal problem...

tell me about it, it came on the fuel rail i picked up.

i have an aeromotive but its going to cost me a grip of cash to get all the fittings for it lol
