Default Civic 98 AT Trans

I have a civic 98 EX ,2 weeks before while driving in D4 it started like slipping sometimes. Last week starting the car from zero position it doesn't move in D3 and D4 , have to put it in 2nd to move and when I have a speed of 20 or more than onle I can start using D3 and D4.

The country where I am living, couldn't find a honda AT Trans Specialist .
So send the car to a shop to change trans fluid , they opened the nut below , drain the old flood aprox. 2 liters and put 2 liters new fluid from top .
Ofcourse it didn't helped any .They don't know how to clean or change the Filter inside Trans .(it's difficult to get most parts for Honda here ,have to order Internationally)

So a mechanic suggest me have to open whole trans and take allok at it ,what parts need to be changed .Than only can order my parts in Dubai , which I will get at least after 7 days .I don't like the idea much so started searching on Internet .

I need to know how can I change the full Trans oil without opening the Trans. As I don't see any easily openable PAN below trans, Seems in Cicvic 98 there is no easy option to change the oil trans filter.

Today it's again doing better sometimes I can put D3 and D4 even at the speed of 5km /hr .I want to say it's working better than before again .So I assume maybe there is some dirt inside disturbing the Gears.

I learn from internet that mechanics do oil change vaccuming via Cooling Hose .I can see 2 hoses goes from Trans to Radiator .I don't know which hose to insert the oil and which one to take it out ?
Also there are 2 holes in Trans uper part one for checking oil level and another small one with a plastic cap on it (can't assume what it's for?).

I know I can't do it without any tools , but my problem is I have to take it to a shop and explain the whole procedure to mechanic .So Please help .

I'm not too knowledgable on honda auto trans, but it sounds to me like you got either some locking clutches that are toast... I doubt changing the fluid will fix your problem, but it's worth a shot I reckon. Auto trans flush machine would be helpful, but you can flush it yourself though.

Get the wheels off the ground, disconnect a cooler line don't matter which really, get a drain bucket, start the engine, and let the old fluid drain into the bucket as your'e adding new fluid in the hole where the dipstick was, do this till the fluid coming out all looks new. If you gotta get a friend to help, also if it don't come out good in park you may need to put it in gear. (probably not though on the honda)

The plastic thing witha cap on it sounds like a vent to me.

Your transmission is blown. Changing the fluid is not going to fix it. The best and cheapest solution is to get a low mileage JDM automatic transmission. Make absolutely sure it's for a 96-00 Civic. They usually come pretty cheap because engine importers throw them away.

Thanks.

I am happy that atlast I was able to change the Full Trans oil.9 yrs old oil inside was black! ,But as you guys guessed it didn't helped my Trans much.

Now if something inside is burnt , how can I make sure which parts I need to order Internationaly or If I need to buy full AT , where can I look for low mileage good AT at reasonable price and what other gaskets I have to order with it ?

(it's quite expensive to arrange International shipping for such a heavy item and to custom clear it on my port)

I am still driving it fine with 2nd gear to start moving and than switch to D4 after few seconds .

Please advice .
