car takes a while to turn on sometimes
well i searched delayed start and car has trouble starting, both ended up with 0 topics, my car takes a while to turn on sometimes, maybe about 1 out of every 10 starts, i recently changed the plugs and wires and was looking for some input on what else could cause it. any help would be great

Notice as at particular time when it does it?
My civic takes longer when the tank is fairly low. Of course, if I wait a few seconds for the fuel pump to pressurize the line, it fires normally.

It happens to me sometimes..... but only when I'm low on gas, other than that i would check your coil, cap, fuel filter and air filter...

Id honestly say its a Honda thing
All three of my civics would have a problem starting every 10 times or so
Also my friends gs-r had the same problem and my friends Si also
I think the starters are a little wierd

97 dx hb had problems starting with low fuel. This is the only time it happened. My friend's 99 hb did the same thing. I think they all do it.

i say bad grounding...wire a negative straight from your battery to your head...your engine should fire up within 1-3 revolutions...mine fires up on the first revolution...just like a new car...

Mine too (with 148,000 miles )! Except when I'm below 1/8th tank.
