This is not an opinion poll forum, it is a tech forum. Once again listen to the others who said to research, they have nice cars and everything has been done before.

Op I would go for a b20 why? Because you can just add a vtec head (b16) and tranny you will be going as fast as type r but better because its 2.0 rather than 1.8

And you failed to mention that B20s are not made for high revs which most of you people do as if you have a Formula 1 Engine in it.

If not the b20 I would go for a gsr no need to waste money on a b16 they are really close to d series and for that ensurance rate it is not worth it.

Make up your mind. All you're doing is clouding the issue. Get this. No, get that.

just get a stock civic

no point of building a car just to show off around town. Yea you can have all the high end parts but take it to a track like a real man and not be a ******* idiot on the streets

The stage 1 clutch, s2 intake mani, injectors and cams didnt make that setup any quicker...just so you know.

And why would you tell him to get a cable trans?
B17 and b16 share same gearing besides 1st is a tad shorter on b17, so really no real difference.

On the b17 trans wouldn't a cable to hydraulic kit work? Just asking. But I'm prolly just gonna use b16 or itr trans

GSR/Type R B18C It's just that simple. HB are light and perfect for the torque. If you want to go with a B20V then sure. This thread as turned to a novel. LOL.

This is why you don't ask for opinions in a tech thread. Now you're all kinds of confused. Should have found some build threads and just copied one of them.
