97 civic idle surge
whata up ht have a problem with my ej8 few days ago i started it and it starts at 3k rpms. after about 5 seconds the rpma surge up and down. doesnt make a difference weather the motors hot or cold idle goes from about 1200rpms to 2500rps up and down. i checked all my vsccuum hoses and cannot find a leak anywhere. i tryed filling / bleeding the coolant even tho it was full but nothing. changed the iacv.. that was like first thing i did. and just swapped in a new air-temp sensor (mass airflow) but nothing. what should i try next? this idle is so annoying

my cel works. i ended up changing the entire throttle body a buddy of mine has lying around and the problems fixed. well for now. starts up at 1500rpms and no surge! but like i said for now.. never ending prpblems with this car lol

Did you just swap the throttle body, or did you use the different TPS as well? Could link closer where the problem may reside....
