Sorry to see that but glad you're going to work on a new engine. I guess stuff happens. Looks like a fun project.

Stuff happens if you don't research and plan. I call it due diligence. You can't just strap a turbo kit to an engine and hope for the best-as was done here. I think the thought was that it was going to be a low boost build that it would be safe. Next time do a compression test at the very least. If you want it safe build it for boost.

They ****ed up the tuning really bad or you were on alot more than 5 PSI. because you threw 3 rods through the block. Which means there would have to be heavy detonation or a ton of power at once. It wouldnt ****ing hydrolock and blow up while it was running. If the head gasket blows its impossible to hydrolock it, because since the gasket is blown the coolant is pushed back into the cooling system during the compression stroke. They lied to you. I've blown head gaskets under booost, so badly that it only fired on 2 or 3 pistons. And one of them was @ 7k RPM under 22PSI of boost. So they are bullshitting you for sure.

damn u ****ed that block and i agree def think it was a bad tune or one ragged out bottom end.

how ever comma. singles are a dime a dozen so when u do crater your block its easy to buy a new one lol.

thats a nice turbo kit tho. for reals. i would buy a bare d16 block and do a eagle vitara build. can never go wrong.

gl.

sucks man, yeah always, ALWAYS check your block and all engine components to make sure that they can handle the boost properly, most stock engines can't, especially ones with any high mileage.Blown a few that way when i was 17, too much boost and not enough engine strength.
