95 Civic DX turbo
well... I have a d15 in my Civic so I Though about it and was like YUP! i want vtech so i bought a blown motor and took the vtech head from a D16, then I was like DAMN i want a Turbo.. SO heres the after math
my Engine
Blown engine
taking the heads off
new oil pan with Drain Fitting welded on for turbo drain
New head on,You can also see the Turbo feed line.. YOU DO NOT have to tap your block.. just above your oil filter is your OIL sending unit just unscrew that and put the oil feed line there with a T adapter so you can hook up you sending unit back in place
Intercooler Piping. layout I used a Grinder to cut my Pipes to fit, if you buy the universal piping kit it obviously won't line up but just a few cuts and its in place.
And the front after I was done
and DONE also put a new radiator in that was bigger with a slimmer fan by CXracing
Getting a 3" exhaust to match the new Downpipe next weekend then it goes to the shop so they can Splice the ECU to make the Vtec work and tune my baby
Also bought 440cc Injectors a walbro 250 fuel pump and a Fuel Management Unit that the shop is also gonna put on when the go to tune it... Ill post more after its all done.
OH yeah the d16 waterpump does NOT fit the d15 block so if you do change please use your old waterpump from the d15 block because there is a size difference even though it bolts up the same.. just a tip because I had to undo it all after I added all the fluids and noticed water rushing out of the side of the block where it didn't cover the whole surface of the d15 waterpump..

VTECH is a Electronics company. VTEC is a Variable Valve timing technology from Honda. Please learn to differentiate between the two. And you should be able to make decent power from that. 200-220WHP is feasible and safe.

and vtec is variable valve timing and lift electronic control. it is important that you get the EC in vtec.
looks nice. that kinda sucks what happened with your waterpump. but lesson for the future.

Me neither. Looks like you tried to push an old tired engine a little too far. Since you bought the engine already blown you never mentioned what you did to the engine, if anything, to prep it for turbo. Compression test at least?

I was only at 5000 rpms at 5psi... the guy doing the dyno said it "HYDRALOCKED" guessing the head gasket failed... I put 650 miles on the engine before putting it on the dyno to break it in.. I guess that old of a motor couldn't take it.. I already have a new motor gonna give it another shot

Just the headbolts themselves, they should be replaced with ARP headstuds. I'm guess what happened was the headlifted dumped the cylinders full of coolant and it hydrolocked, I can't see any other way to shoot 3 rods through the block. My advice would be find a comeplete D16Z6 and build it for boost.
