Please help! Tachometer and Speedometer freaking out
I have a 2004 Honda Accord with 168000 miles on it. Today while I was driving down the road the tachometer, speedometer and temperature gauge all fell to zero. After driving a little bit they would all rise back up then they would fall to zero again and they did this for a little while until I pulled over and restarted my car. I also noticed that when they were at zero the light that indicates I'm in gear wasn't on either. After restarting it I didn't seem to have any problems the rest of the way home. On my drive though the engine seemed to have a hard time shifting when I accelerated from a stop and the idle seemed low around 600rpm. I also noticed when I shifted it to park the idle increased to around 900/1000rpm. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing these problems? Thanks for any help.

Check both ends your battery cable connections, check for corrosion, clean it up with brush and coke, also to see how loose your alternator belt is, it maybe slipping.
Keep us posted if that didnt fix ur issue
