Default Electrical - Grounding issue?

2003 Accord Ex

Hey all. First shot at this - trying to get a little help.

Here are the symptoms:

1. When we turn on the left blinker, front and back work okay, but the brake lights flash as well. When the right blinker's on, everything's fine.

2. When we turn on the head lights (park or full), the left turn signal indicator lights up on the dash and stays on constantly, as do both left blinker bulbs.

What we've done:

1. Replaced the turn switch on the steering wheel.
2. Replaced the flasher.
3. New bulbs.
4. Fuses all look okay.
5. Hazard switch seems to be working okay.

Thinking it might be a grounding issue. Any thoughts or ideas on where else to look?

Thanks!

They do turn on. You can also still step on the brakes and the lights get brighter to indicate braking.

I checked on the G701 ground in the trunk, but it didn't seem to be the problem. I thought maybe since the brake lights flash with the left blinker, it could be a ground connection back there. Tough to get to the G702...

Thanks in advance for any replies.

hmmmm, totally weird...I would maybe check grounds in the front as the left blinkers (front and back) are basically one circuit. One more question, you said the left blinkers go on when you turn on the headlights, but do the headlights go on when you signal left? For some reason I keep imagining a mouse or squirrel chewing on all the wires and fusing them together lol, but you woulda caught on to that I'm sure

Ha! I like the idea of a squirrel nesting for winter. Maybe they got a little tv in there or something that's messing with the system.

Yeah, the left blinkers stay on constantly when we turn on the park or full headlights. The right blinkers will click for a second, then stay off. I can turn left and right blinkers on with no headlights turning on (just brakes with the left side), and the high beams will activate fine when blinkers are on and lights not switched on.

G702 is for the right side on a 2-door. Try checking G301 if you can get to it. That grounds the left headlights and blinkers

I almost tore that trunk apart looking for G702. Guess this pic does look like a coupe:

I'll check G301 later tonight and report back. BTW Colorado rules.

Well, G301 looks fine. Also checked G501 and it's okay.

Decided to pull bulbs again, especially since the trunk is pretty easy and found a dual filament in the right inner brake light. Switched that out for a single filament. Needless to say, we're getting closer.

Now, when the headlights are on, both blinker indicators on the dash stay lit. The problem appears to be before the flasher relay. Maybe a faulty turn switch?

Hope you find the culprit by now. I have a different issue with mine. The rear parking lights are out but front lights and brake lights works fine. I suspect the rear light circuit ground is faulty because the brake light is a different circuit. Can you tell me where the G701 and G702 locations are on the 4D Accord?
