timing belt
Just did the timing belt on my 94 accord ex today. This is probably the tenth time I've done a timing belt on a honda so this isn't new to me. There is a problem with it's position on the cam pulley. The belt is riding flush with the outside edge of the pulley. The belts are usually closer to the outside edge than the inside but this is the first time I've seen one riding right on the edge. Actually over the edge a hair. It also seems to move in and out a little. I pulled it back off and checked all the hardware and everything looks fine. I'm thinking the new belt is bad. Anyone ever seen this. thanks

Re: (jackson35)
The new belt is bad. I put the old one back on this morning after rechecking the tensioner and it rides almost centered on the pulleys with no movement. I then put the new one back on and again moves right to the edge of the pulley with in and out movement. I never seen this before. I've heard of getting a bad timing belt but it's really rare. Hope they don't try and give me a problem at the parts store. Not in the mood for it.
