Re: New G22 Accord Dyno Video
im not on H-T often thats why it took a long time to reply.
i read on your video about the flood. sorry to hear that dude hopefully you'll build it back up.
As far as rods and pistons go, bisi makes rods that can handle lots of power. also look into DSM pistons with H22 rod combo. I don't have much info and im not sure what your CR will be like. it should be lower then the compression ratio achieved by this set up in f22 because you have a larger CC combustion chamber due to the H head.

Re: New G22 Accord Dyno Video
Yea that flood sucksss! but on the plus side the only thing ruined was the carpet and seats, relatively cheap and def easy fix. Luckily the 1200 ECU is waterproof. The only thing from the engine that got damaged as the bottom end which was torn up anyway lol. I'll finally have money to throw towards my car start FEB 1st. I'm expecting to spend 2-3k depending on machine work needed and if i need to replace crankshaft, will keep everyone updated.

Re: New G22 Accord Dyno Video
UPDATE:
After saving money, which with school and bills is a pain in the *** I finally decided on forged internals. I decided to go with Bisimoto. They had a custom long rod/custom 86mm piston combo for under $760. The block is in the machine shop now getting decked and bored out. I should have the parts before Christmas, and hoping to have the car put together shortly after New Years day. If anyone is curious of the internals here's a link to Bisimoto's website: http://bisimoto.com/store/index.php?...roducts_id=311

It won't be til early next year probably, but I got friends down there, so once she up and running I'll be heading there. Have you taken your h22a to Nat Speed or anywhere to get dyno numbers, curious to know what your pushing.

UPDATE:
So I finally dished out the $760 for Bisimoto custom pistons and long rods, the block is bored 1 mm over and the only thing left is to get the parts and put them in, dyno, and ENJOY!

Grats on the new parts.
Its nice to see someone doing a g22 build and investing time, thought, AND some cash.
I'm looking forward to seeing some progress, how bout some pics of the new stuff.

Jax, I was hoping you could share a few more details about your setup.
I'm curious about the direction you took on the head gasket, I realize with your bore now at 86mm it will likely change but what did you use on the stock 85mm bore?
What gasket will you be using when reassembling everything at 86?
Did you convert the accord water pump with an h22 cog by pressing it on?
Have you had any issues with the long term reliability of the pump after modifying it?
Or did you take another route entirely.
What method did you use to bridge the two coolant hard pipe ends together, did you use flexible hose or weld the pipes together?
I hope you don't mind all the questions, keep up the good work and I can't wait to see some more numbers with the slugs, rods and engine management.

For anyone interested in the latest and greatest of my build. It's done. As some of you know the old car was flooded, I was able to save the turbo, engine, and trans. With new Bisimoto bottom end (had to bore the engine to 86mm for new pistons) and some milling C/R went from an abysmal 8.2:1 to an appropriate 9.5:1. With the new C/R I was able to lower the boost from 15 lbs to 10 lbs and still gained 40hp and an amazing 78 ft lbs of torque. New numbers are 331 whp and 338 tq on 10 lbs (low boost). Once I replace slipping clutch plan on turning up the boost to get 400 whp. Here's a new dyno video in the new CD5 body. (Stepped up from the LX to EX with leather and abs too lol)

Re: New G22 Accord Dyno Video
I am interested.
Looks like you did very well already with the stock internals.
Please keep the updates etc coming.
I am going to start soon and was wondering what manifold you where using?
