Default Engine miss

My car misses a little bit when its still cold at idle. Like when I'm warming it up to drive home after work. Like the engine will be smooth, then its like it skips. Similar to a heart palpitation. A list of things to start with would be awesome. I would obviously start with the easy things first. Its been about 10-15k miles/or a year since I switched out the spark plugs last.

The miss goes away after my car warms up though, so keep that in mind. Would a valve adjustment do anything to that?

Check the resistance of the spark plug wires, when the engine is cold there may be a small short that occurs due to condensation. Check the spark plugs, rotor/cap, and spark plug wires for carbon tracking. Use Di-electric grease on the rubber portions of the bootsand terminals. Wipe off any moisture from the boots wires/cap/rotor.
