cv joint/axle/steering problems
Hey guys i've recently made a post about my steering shaking left and right when i slow to a stop or go from a stop. The steering wheel also pulls hard to the left. I thought the problem would be a tie rod or something with the steering but i took it to the shop yesterday and saw that there was a gap between the rubber boot and the hub. The mechanic said i need to replace the cv joint and the reason it went bad was because my tires are bad and unbalanced. Would a bad tire cause the cv joint to come apart like that and also do you guys think if i replaced just the axle everything (such as steering) would go back to normal? And would any other parts need to be replaced? Also when i turn there is no clicking sound that would indicate the cv axle going bad so what should i do?

Re: cv joint/axle/steering problems (vitekboi)
i really don't see a bad tire making a cv joint go bad, but yea replacing the whole axle has always been my method, you can't go wrong with like an advance, auto zone, pep boys axles with lifetime warranties. You may want to check your alignment
