obd2a h22 into obd2b ek help
im swapping a 1997 prelude h22a4 into a 2000 ek. from the research ive done im pretty sure the h22 is a obd2a motor and the civic is a obd2b harness. .im just kinda looking for someone who has done this combo. i have searched everywhere and for some reason i cant find anyone that has done this combo with the obd2a motor and obd2b harness.
well my first problem is the crank sensor(s) down near the oil pump. the 2000 harness only has a three wire clip and the h22 has a four wire clip. im just wondering where they should go or if anyone has any experience with it. none of the colors match up between the three and four wire clips so i have no clue which ones to match up.
i redid the dizzy wiring. everything was ok their except the thick black/yellow wire coming off of the external wire. the ek harness has a black/yellow wire which i know is usually the power to the coil but it is tiny. im just wondering if i should splice the thick one to the thin one. there is also a red wire, white wire, and a green wire that is left just chillin. im guessing those wires have something to do with the crank sensor stuff on the oil pump. the external coil has a green wire that goes straight from the coil to one of the dizzy clips. but the stock ek harness has a green wire too and im just wondering what to do with that.
i looked through this thread h22a into civic thread
https://honda-tech.com/forums/hybrid-engine-swaps-18/%5Bfaq%5D-%2A%2A%2Ah22a-into-civic-eg-ek-information-post-all-h22a-hybrid-info-here%2A%2A%2A-650329/
but no where does it talk about their being different wire clips for the crank sensors.

Re: obd2a h22 into obd2b ek help
What ecu are you using? Most people who do did swap tend to use a obd1 ecu therefore, it will not look for the CKF sensor or crank sensor.. However there is a trick to bypass it if you still plan on using a usdm OBD2 ecu. The JDM obd2 ecu's will not look for the CKF sensor.

For the distributor wiring you can just try and match the colors as best as you can.
Most people don't convert obd2b dizzys to obd2a dizzys. They usually convert it to obd1.
Heres a diagram if it helps but its for converting to obd1. But it has the colors for your info

Re: obd2a h22 into obd2b ek help
I'm having an issue with a jdm h22a. I'm running a type s ecru and it keeps throwing the crank position sensor and the top dead center sensor. I have tried two different ecu's and two distributors. The distributor are one plug with the sensors in it. What the heck is going on? Can't anyone help.?
