KMS valve guides
so, being the DIY'er that i am. i decided to change out the valve guides on the head ive been working on. I got them out just fine and have been waiting to buy some bronze guides.
Well i finally got em, and im pretty happy with the purchase. they were $80.00 for the set form KMSengineering.com and ive never heard anything about them other than they repackage supertech parts. So i oredered the guides and upon inspection of them compared to the stock ones, they recess into the ports the same amount, but the collar area where the stem seals go on is about 1mm shorter than stock. So thats gonna give you a nice amount of extra clearance. and on top of that, they have a really thin collar set at the right depth, so if you are paying any amount of attention you wont drive them in too far.
very happy with the purchase. so it can be done at home with basically no tools. well see how they go in
