relocating the battery
I have decided to relocate my battery to the back of the car in a anti-corrsive box but i can't get a good ground, only turns over if neg is attached to the engine. Anyone done this, if so what did you ground your battery to, help my dumbass out, thanx

You should ground your battery to the closest possible chassis point... are you running the negative all the way back through the firewall to the engine or the front chassis? I'd keep the ground strap to 1' or 2' length max, same as you would with an amp.

ok first when i relocated my battery my paint from the inside of my car kept the cable from being grounded so i just sanded the part i grounded the cable to and it works fine

Re: relocating the battery (raeneshadow)
i relocated my battery to the trunk...and i'm only running the positive through the car and firewall into the engine bay. My ground wire, as raeneshadow said, is pretty short. Its grounded to the chassis in my trunk behind the back panels. I had problems in the beginning because it kept shorting...as i later found out...i needed to sand down the chassis a little to get better metal to metal contact.
