Default Y8 ecu on JDM d15B trouble

I swapped a JDM d15B (3 stage) in for my Y7, and I have been using my Y7 ecu since. It runs, but it idles high (I think because of the different injector size) and it also runs rich and with no V-tech. So, I just ordered and put in a Y8 ecu, and it started and up and idled fine, but when trying to give it gas (rev it up) it sputters. like its out of timing or something. Any ideas? BTW, the ecus are p2e-A03 and the Y8 is p2p-A31

THANKS

Try connecting your VTEC-E solenoid to ignition power so that it's always in 16 valve mode when the engine is running.

I don't have the v-tec solenoid connected right now... I figured that I would have run first without v-tec then hook up the v-tec later. Maybe the ecu needs to see the v-tec so I guess I'll hook it up and see if that fixes the accelerating/reving problem

the reason why it runs llike crap is because the different timing maps of the ECU's. liek said above, just get a conversion harness and obd1 vtec ecu.

the motor would run perfectly fine without vtec hooked up with the exception of vtec not working. its the timing on the ECU, base timing on OBD1 motors is 16* and base on obd2 motors is 12* but its also affected alot by KS input so it wont make it idle right and it will run like crap.
please dont hook your vtec solinoid to constant power, thats just retarded.

my motor is obd2, and so is the ecu, where's the problem? I don't know all that much, so excuse me if I don't make complete sense?
