Default Turbosmart wastegate and the vacuum source?????

does the vacuum source need to be hooked up or not on a Turbosmart wastegate??? I'm not running any kind of boost controller. I have heard that Turbosmart says not to hook it up.

Yes! Use the bottom port to a pressue/vaccum source. Leave the top port open. If you dont run a vaccum then you'll run ALOT of boost! hehe

Then use that one. You need to use the port. On the Tial WG, there are 2 ports, one on the top, and one on the side. I'm pretty sure the one on top is used more so for an EBC and the side port for a MBC.... could be wrong.

But yes, you do need to hook up the vac. source to it.

Like was said, the port in the picture is the bottom port, and is the one you want to use.
From the pic, that looks like an Turbosmart Ultragate 35. The top port should be at a 10'oclock position in the pic. It has no nipple on it, but its there. But forget about that one until you get a boost controller.
