Default B18C5 Rattling?!

I have a recently fully built type r block with a fully built gsr head. it was running well when i first turned it on but later i started to hear a rattle so i adjusted the valves and i still hear the rattle just not as bad any more can some one please help me with this problem!

what is your oil pressure? it could be your bearings, dont drive it as it will only damage the engine more and be harder to fix. Drain the oil to see if there is any metal shavings in it.

forged bottom end?
forged pistons will slap when cold

and remember... valve lash needs to be set when the motor is absolutely cold

I drained the oil and saw no metal shavings and i changed the oil to 50sae and i still hear the rattling.

i checked the valves and they r fine, im guessing its a bearing

I had the same problem on my fully built B20 that was sleeved, ended up being the hone was not symmetrical. I hope that isnt your case.
