Default KNOCKING.....cold...35psi oil????

ok i have noticed that my B18C1 has been giving me the thoughts that its knocking....
my question is will the motor knock when its cold right at start up?
i figured it was cold but after it was sorta warm it was still knocking oil pressure was at 35 but i also noticed that after warming up more it goes away and oil press is at 20....motor still pulls....what gives

Sounds like piston slap. Normal.

Do you have forged pistons? If you do then it probabally is piston slap. The oil pressure is supposed to go down went your engine warms up because the heat causes the oil to thin. The thinner your oil is the less your pressure will be. Hope that helps.

when its slapping next time, try doing a power balance test. pull 1 plug at a time, if the noise dissapears once you pull a plug you might have a bad rod bearing. if your unsure drop the oil pan and check for shavings. hopfully not good luck!

som etype of loose clearance for sure. warm metal expands = tighter clearances = quieter.

cold = loose and noisy. = somethings worn out or out of spec.
