sorry I never finished this old thread with my findings!!! RICHMOND SPOOLS SUCK!! Sorry DSS for all the negativity! I put a quaiffe diff in it and have been beating the snots outta the 5.9 axles with no issues!! 100% its the spool not holding the axle properly

A friend of mine was having a very similar problem and ended up being the 32mm nut came loose on the counter shaft and kept on popping out axles also under load . And that would explain why u might of broken your trans .. I don't think the axles where you're issue. Hope this helps

i now that thread is old put i have same problem now and i don't now what i shoud do .
I purchased a new axle level 5.9 And I have a problem at driver side i have Many pictures and I replace my older axle (( level 0 -DSC)) the problem the new one not same like old one the new one not go inside the gear box all have the same length from what i see the spline in transmission side not same the older axle ( level 0 ) also when The CV housing will not seat against the transmission like the stock one does only the first step on the CV cup will meet the seal when it is fully installed .
i need to no is the axle 5.9 came with different spline from old level 0 . also i need to now if my new axle is good i need make shore is supposed not fit all in transmission . my car civic ES 2004 turbo K20 turbo700hp+ transmission 5 speed wava diff

Yes this all looks right, the 5.9 when the axle is installed it will not go up against the trans like a stock style axle, the inner has a 2nd step and will be about 1" off the side of the trans. This thread was about axles pooping out of the trans, is this locking ?
