Default best way to get metal shavings out of piping

I made some intercooler piping and now I have metal shavings in them from cutting them. The pipes are mild steel so they came came oiled down and the shavings are sticking to the walls. What's the best way to clean them out?

I usually drag a large rag connected to some piece of rod through the pipe and drag out the heavy stuff. Then use some brake parts cleaner which will blow the stuff out, as well as break down oils and such. Then another drag through with a rag followed by compressed air. Never had a problem.

If you have an air compressor, you can get yourself a blow gun and as long as the compressor has a good amount of pressure it will blow anything out of the pipes.

Put it on your car and gun it at WOT. It'll suck it right out.

I bought a flexible pick up tool with the rectractable claw from Harborfreight tools. Spray the insides and a rag with brake parts cleaner and run the rag thru a few times.

The flex tool is good around elbows and u bends.

I found some flexible rubber stoppers from a local science supply store that will squeek through IC piping and pull everything out

That is what I used! Worked like a charm in my IC piping and manifold!
