What is DRAG piping made of?
Thanks Ben... someone told me it was aluminum but when I showed them the rust on the inside they thought otherwise...
I thought you couldnt weld aluminum to steel, how come I was able to weld aluminum piping to the drag piping? Is it because of the chrome plating...?

I'm not a professional welder but I've tried this before. Steel and aluminum welding require different temps and current. It's very hard to weld and the result is not pretty if you can do it at all.
Haha tell me about not being pretty. I took the drag piping to a buddy today and he successfully welded aluminnum piping to the drag mild steel... we used aluminum spool, and mig welded it... but i forgot the temps.....all i remember is that we had to set the drag on the spool real low because the soft aluminum wire kept getting hemmed up along the feed wheels...
thanks
