Default air/fuel ratio

What kind of air/fuel ratio do I want for my power band? I'm looking for my answer to be like this: 1-4k = 14.5, 5-6k = 13.0, etc. I have a H22A4. My VTEC is currently set at 5100rpm.

@ sea leavel prob 11.5:1 meby 12.5:1 max but it will differ for each engin. usualy what ever produces the most power with decent egt's (I know, I know). always best to be on the safe side though.

p.s. when u dyno, when your fueling is all done, set ur vtec at 3k, and make a run. then set it at 7800 and make a run. where the tourq courves cross, set ur vtec there.

VTEC at 3k? I thought it was unsafe to get it that low?

na, it just bogs like hell. besides, youre only doing it for one run to see the curve. if you don't feel comforteble, set it at 4k.

what a/f you want shouldn't be from what RPM your motor is spinning at but rather load.

Therefore, when i tune, i go for 12.0:1 for anything above 5psi. 12.5:1 from 3psi to 5psi and about 13.5:1 from 0-3psi. Off boost, I'm looking around 13.5-14.5:1

Of course, this depends on your motor, plugs, timing, base timing, compression, etc etc..
