Re: Throttle cable loose? (98vtec)
Thanks for responding
setup:
jdm sir-g
skunk2 IM
Blox b cams
blox dual springs
4-1 header
2.5 in. exhaust
no cat
2-layer hg
short intake
new valve job and .005 resurface
-Also it pulls way harder now that I fixed it. wonder if I should re-tune

Re: Throttle cable loose? (lovelife6431)
its only weak from 5 to ~6200. as that range is not large, it just happens to be in the most critical area of the map as that is where you likely land between gears.
to me it looks like the vtec engagement needs to be higher. But bisi had to have taken that into consideration, i dunno. Thats something you need to ask him.

Re: Throttle cable loose?
Wow, you guys are quick to start pointing fingers.
Dynapack Dynocharts show up weird, compared to dynojet....hard to read and they always look horrible. Theres a mode he can switch to that makes it looks like a Dynojet. Go back, get a printout and then you can really see if there is a vtec-dip. Bisi has been in the game for long enough, that I'm pretty confident he didn't screwup the vtec cross-over on such a simple setup. Get that new printout, and report back.
