Help!!!
so about a month ago i spun a rod bearing on the street, and the only reason i could figure out why was my pistons were lightly tapping the head. so i went with a cometic head gasket this time .050, and it shows no visible wear anymore. went with king bearings .030"
so i did some test, and tune this friday night and i finally have a great 60' time with a 1.63 best and first 1.60 60' in 3 years. well on my 3rd and final pass it spun a bearing again. same rod bearing as before.
anyone have any kind of idea as to why this might be happening.
i was thinking of rebuilding this again, but might just buy a differant short block
any help would be awsome

Re: Help!!!
car had 10 runs on the dyno and 2 passes at the track and ran for a week on the street to see if it would have issue before traveling to tulsa.
was tuned to 34psi@737, and the passes at the track were at 20psi

Re: Help!!!
What do you have for crank case ventilation? A lot of guys are having trouble with all of the oil getting trapped in the head, due to it not being able to return back to the block from the head.

Re: Help!!!
I've spun a rod bearing before as well. Replaced the crank and rod and rechecked all the clearances and never had another issue. I'd bet that the crank and rod are way out round and will continue to spin bearings until replaced.
Just replace the crank and rod and bearings and be done with it, no sense in getting another short block unless you really want a gsr.
