Default  Golden Eagle and my B20VTEC

SHOUT OUT FROM THE PHILIPPINES!!!

300KMs and still doing fine. No signs of leak. Hope the sleeves don't sink cause I don't have money to send it back stateside.

Breaking it in.... Could feel the torque even at less than 20% throttle.... Well see what happens after break in and dyno.

Default Golden Eagle and my B20VTEC

Here's the Set-up.

GEM SLEEVED B20B
84.5 pistons with 13.5:1 compression ratio cc'ed.
Eagle rods
GEM cam gears
TODA A CAMS
HONDATA S200
440cc injectors

Goal is 200WHP on **** *** PI pump gas.

IF my goal doesn't happen, I have a standby of 100 shot NOS dry sytem activated by HONDATA.

With 13.5:1 compression, 200whp is a walk-in-the-park. Good Luck with the break-in. I am also in the process of breaking-in my B20 too.

Why did you decide to go with the Toda A's?

With our **** *** pump gas I couldn't be too optimistic. A friend's car was dynoed at 187WHP. 13HP shouln't be that hard to find considering I have better cams and compression.

I chose TODA A cause I don't I have the guts to drive a car with toda spec C's. I reserved my SPEC C on my B18 project. Planning on getting the same power output.

yeah - I was driving my honda CT civic around 12 on a wooden street of P.I man my civic drove of with out me because it saw an asweng. now, everytime I go racing on the street or on the track. I watch a filipino movie (skake, rattle, and roll). Now, my car goes into the 6's. I call it the "aswang" POWER!

I thought the only thing different from the A B and C's was the vtec lobes.

A,B and C Todás have different LOBEs, duration and cam timing. The C will come in if I don't get 200.

As for aswang, never seen one. Hope I never will. 460km and counting.

gas must not be too shitty if youre confident on running 13.5:1 cr. btw Cs would help prevent knocking bc larger cams usually lower the dynamic compression. and if you have someone who can tune hondata it wont be that hard to tune. sounds like a really nice setup, post #s when its broken in

That's what happened to my first B20VTEC project. My friend was drivin'the **** out my car and he oversteered in a sweeping turn. Hit the guardrails.

It would be great if that happens. I'll just wait and see.

Default FORMERLY KOTSEMOTO

Still running at 1000KMs. Had a diminishing water problems that
looked like there was a bad sealing in the head and block mating surfaces.

The culprit was the bypass hose that connects to the thermostat housing.

Had my friend weld the bypass outlet (TIG) and so far so good.
Water has remained on the same level after 200KM.

I still have an annoying noise that sounds like the valve lash is loose.
However, we just lashed it as recommended by TODA.

We suspect the LOST MOTION assembly or the crower valve spring may be noisy.

WIll be tuning on the street soon before hitting the dyno.

Its been a month....

I had dynoed the car last night. WE managed to get only 195WHP. Funny thing is everytime we advance the intake cam timing it gained power all over. We ended up adding 5 degrees avance in total. We still wanted to advance the cam timing but we were afraid that the valves might hit the pistons.

Well, I guess I'm happy with the results. since I have dynoed 3 2L engines and so far this one had the Most torque and power across the rev range.
