Is this a good setup for 400whp?
Im taking my D series out of my 97ex coupe and puttin a GSR motor in there but I made a layout for the car and tell me if u guys thing this will work
1. having the motor rebulit, and sleeved
2. Getting 9:1.1 compression pistons and rods from golden eagle
3. get 550cc/min injectors
4. Hondata s200
5. Custom exhaust for turbo
6. The Dual TurboXs boost controller
7.The Quaife Differential Integra GSR 94-01
and I will be using the stock block and vtec head as well...and i'll be gettin a set of 16's all seasonal tires, um I think thats it is there something im messing?? oh yeah and is it worth havine a bigger throttle body?

It's Eagle rods (unless u meant other rod brands that golden eagle offers)

I wanted a t/3 or t/4 turbocharger....uh yeah I thought that was the compression level from the golden eagle. I was thinking about going through Turbo Kits.com, but I wouldnt mind to get a kit that can give me 200whp over stock

I think the stock GSR intake-mani could use some work... perhaps that could be replaced to free up some power.
What turbo/manifold are you using?

720 = 720 cubic centimeters of fuel per minute.
550 = 550 cubic centimeters of fuel per minute.
Correct, 720s are better for fuel flow.

Re: Is this a good setup for 400whp? (CivicRyda2k)
what I was implying on was the compression level once I send the motor to Golden Eagle they will lower the compression level on the motor, so i'll have better power, but what Im lookin for is a kit that will give me 200hp over the power I have to the wheels or if I get 155+ then im fine, but if I get like 350whp i'll just keep on tunin till I get that extra 100hp

Yeah thats who Im really thinking about going through, do u know how much there kits give example like Stage 1 80+hp Stage 2 100+hp etc etc. I've been to the site and looked at that kits and everything, but they dont say how much the kit gives you, only what that certain kit can handle up to.

thats because this is not gran turismo.....
what you make with ANY turbo is about what/who you have tuning it.

AND how much boost you run. a full race kit at say 6 psi, will only give you 100hp or so over stock(with a conservative tune). bump up the boost, youll see more power, go with a more aggressive tune, even MORE power...

Turbo research is the absolute FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT thing that you should learn. Its the heart of the whole system. Look around online and learn to read compressor maps, all major brands have maps of every trim imagianable posted. Allso an invaluable tool is "maximum boost" by corkey bell. He put most all turbo theory together in one great book. look around online and definatly use the search feature here on honda-tech, because chances are, if you have a question, its one someone else has had to.
