stock-looking fuel pressure regulator
With the latest trend of officer education on what doesn't belong under the hood of an import in California, how does one modify fuel pressure while not having a big *** anodized purple FPR on the fuel rail? The stock FPR is so small compared to a modified aftermarket version. Officers tend to notice shiny things under the hood...
Are there any adjustable FPRs out there that look stock? Are there any other options?
(I searched but all I found was classifieds...)

Re: stock-looking fuel pressure regulator (( o )( o ))
if u just wnat to increase the fuel pressure, just install a Inline fuel pump. after the stock,
It will add 30 psi to your stock Fuel pressure,

I run the stock fpr and am making in the neighborhood of 240 whp-I am also running 440 cc injectors and a Hondata S300.
My engine bay would not pass a detailed CHP inspection though

Re: stock-looking fuel pressure regulator (b19coupe)
I completely agree with todd.... The best way is to leave stock regulator and tune your car in something such as crome-pro or hondata no fpr needed ... But 4 those out there that must have an adjustable fpr.... You can leave the stock one one the rail and install a remote mount adjustable one dowstream from the stock one (way down low or under intake manifold) but then again the fuel press guage gives it away

Well, not where you live but cops are ******** down here.
As said before, a stock fuel pressure regulator is best. Stay away from those B&M units..they aren't consistant!

Re: stock-looking fuel pressure regulator (Chillinit)
If you need a little more fuel pressure than the stock fpr, you can dent the top in. It will increase the pressure slightly. Ghetto...I know

Re: stock-looking fuel pressure regulator (( o )( o ))
It took me an hour to search the CARB list and to my dis-belief there is not a CA legal AFPR or rail on the list for any Honda/Acura
It would be considered a modification of the fuel injection system and would fail the smogtest. (Visual)
The highest fuel pressure listed in the Motor book is for a Acura at 46psi on the 94-00 1.8liter, Also the 98-00 2.2liter
However there might be another manufacture's FPR that you could adapt to fit the rail. Might wanna check into this more.

they are not all same actually. I know for a fact that 92-96 preldue vtec ones set pressur around 36-38 psi, while a 97-01 prelude on is up in the 47-54 psi range, same situation with the various ones on B series engines, i know for a fact that the gsr runs higher pressure than the ls.
