gsr and itr rods are no different than eachother

I dont see any reason the stock rods and rod bolts wouldnt be safe to 9,000 rpms and possibly higher

have you gotten the car dyno'd yet?

if so look at your peak power, you should only be revving a few hundred rpms past that, otherwise it it useless to spin the motor higher

I wouldn't go any higher than 84-8600 if you are still even making power up there. GSR and ITR rods are very similar. itr rods have a nifty little R on the side of them instead of a p72. They share the same caps though. They also come with dimples in the end of the bolts so that bolt stretch can be checked from the factory.

9mm arp bolts are the ones you would need for these. In my experience they were good to about 9200 rpm before they stretched enough to have the domes on the pistons close the gap on the spark plugs and shut the motor down.

the p72 and p73 rods are different. the stroke on both are the same, but the P73, which are type r rods, are a whole lot stronger. but i would say with 9200 revs constantly would decrease reliability in the long run. but going there seldomly wouldn't hurt anything IMO. but for confidence, having the p73 w/ arp bolts will hold up fine to that w/ no problem.

p72's rotating assembly crank, rods is a little lighter. if your going with a mild all motor build either will do

more metal, stonger materials? idk, it's an "R" rod, so that's how i see it. i've seen stock type r block's withstand 9500 revs constantly w/ no problems.

are u looking to get it done or is it already done, who did it. its a delicate thing and u want to make sure its right. for a mild build i wouldnt worry about it exspecially if u have a gsr crank since i think its around 4 pounds lighter than a hype r.
